Blank George is drawn by an English teacher in Japan for his students.  The students then make their own dialogue based on the pictures.  The results are what you see before you.

-Details        Filling in the blank word balloons has always been a favorite activity for language
                    classes.  Blank George is different in that the comics strips don't have the
                    dialogue removed before being given to the students, there is never any to begin
                    with.  The strips are intended to show an ambiguous situation and the art few
                    details.

-Schedule    On Monday a strip with no dialogue is posted.  Everyday for the rest of the
                   week,  a different student's work is shown.

We're not sure if the idea behind Blank George is original or not but we're pretty sure it's the only web comic that can truly claim to exploit Japanese school children for it's content.  Feel free to print out a strip and try it out yourself.  Email the results to us and we can exploit you too!
